Build the next generation of open-source AI infrastructure with us.
About Rivet
Rivet is composable, open-source infrastructure for modern AI requirements. Everything we do is built with an emphasis on self-hosting, flexibility, and performance. We believe no good engineering happens in a vacuum, so we work closely with customers to make sure Rivet fits their use case and is flexible enough for their roadmap.
At the core of Rivet is Actors: a primitive for stateful workloads. It provides addressable, long-running processes, SQLite-per-actor, WebSockets, and hibernation. Actors provide a powerful foundation for use cases like agentOS (virtual operating system for agents), Workflows (durable execution engine), and Dynamic Apps (AI-generated app hosting).
Rivet Cloud provides a managed way to run the Rivet stack.
Most of Rivet is open-source (Apache 2.0), self-hostable, and can be fully air-gapped in your VPC.
Our mission-critical “off-rails” code uses no or limited AI. Our routine “on-rails” SDK and frontend code uses reviewed AI. For the website, we just test the output.

Learn moreGlobal hiring
We look for exceptional people wherever they live. Depending on the location, we hire directly or through a trusted employer-of-record partner.
Where we can hire
Where we can hire depends on local employment and tax rules, partner coverage, and U.S. trade and economic sanctions. As a U.S. company, we can’t employ or contract with someone when doing so would violate those requirements.
Today, we can’t support employment or contracting in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, the Crimea region of Ukraine, or other regions of Ukraine covered by U.S. sanctions. Separately, operational and compliance constraints currently prevent us from hiring in mainland China.
How eligibility works
Sanctions can apply to particular locations or to specific people and organizations anywhere in the world, so we review eligibility case by case. These programs can address human rights abuses, terrorism, international narcotics trafficking, genocide, and other sanctioned activity.
Our coverage can change as laws and our hiring infrastructure evolve. We’ll confirm location eligibility during the hiring process.
